Hello,
In my school we have a debating competition and we all have to suggest a topic and the most interesting will go forward.
There is the opposition and the proposition so obviously suggest topics where you can have good points for each side!
I was thinking 'Footballer's get paid too much money'... but I can't think of anything to say for that, in case I get landed with the propositions.

Suggestions?

are there a lot of people doing this debate?
Question Author
There can only be 2 people doing it for each house.
There are 4 houses therefore 8 people will be doing it.

Yep.
At the start the opposition/propsitions main speaker will started their debate with a speech lasting around 5 mins, then the second speaker concludes her/his points afterwards and answers questions from the floor.

how about wind farms going green save the planet
Question Author
Another good suggestion but what's bad about wind farms apart from the fact they create noise pollution?
If anything, they're a good thing.

take ages to build
noise

have a look on the internet to see what local people have said regarding having a windfarm built near there village
Question Author
It powers 475 homes, which I agree is not a lot, but it takes up a very small amount of space.
