When you get up have a cup of hot water and lemon - it should help - ahem - move things along, then you should be able to have breakfast and get along with your normal routine without any pesky cramps.

Either:

1. Don't eat breakfast;

2. If you do, don't eat it so fast;

3. Don't try and eat breakfast, whilst getting dressed, having a shave, putting your shoes on , drinking a cup of tea, texting and hunting for the car keys all at once.

At least that's what helped me!
Hi whitebears

Indigestion is so nasty, and that probably is the cause of your cramps, especially if you rush it in the morning due to timescales, as Androcles says .............and if you're fine after lunch, supper/dinner and snacks in the evening......suggest a light brekky not a full english every morning. Plenty of ruffage.......bran etc..........then a newspaper to read :0)

If it continues go and see the quack! :0)
get out of it, androcles......no man can multi-task!

Thump your lower spine till the pain (wind) relieves itself - an NOT in the kitchen, perleeeeese.
What do you mean Tamborine? That's getting up, not multi tasking! I thought multi tasking was all of those things plus getting the kids up , doing the washing and ironing, preparing lunchboxes, tidying up, feeding the pets and hoovering the whole house.
At least, so I've been told.......

Do you eat cereal? Could be that you have developed an intolerance to lactose. Lots of people do.

Lil O'lady: thats what i thought at first when i was eating cereal in the mornings, so i moved away to eating toast, then it did it again, so had crumpets but still the same, maybe im intolerant to having breakfast lol

hehe yogi bear, lets have a cuddle.

tamborine of course girls get wind too, but i cant do it in the house its so wrong! esp living with two men, they would be shocked! :-O
I can't stomach anything wholewheat like or ruffage first thing in the morning like wholemeal bread or bran flakes.

In fact I'm not good at eating first thing in the morning. If I have breakfast I wait until I get to work and get to work early so I can sit and eat it without rushing around.

i wonder if its because im eating on a dry stomach if that makes any sense. i should have a few sips of my tea before eating. i'l giv it a try tomz and see if it makes any diff!
I used to get this all the time due to my IBS, so for a long time I stopped eating breakfast. Now I've started again but I wait until about 9.30-10am rather than eating at 7am and don't have such a bad problem. I eat my breakie in work now!
You may have an allergy to gluten. This is surprisingly common, builds up over time and often goes undetected for many years. Perhaps it has begun to manifest itself at breakfast.

Cut out all wheat products and see if that makes a difference.
you live with 2 blokes & are holding back wind - there's the problem; get rid of the blokes!
Could be gall-bladder related if it's happening after crumpets and toast. In which case it will be triggered by anything with fat in it.
