2 weeks ago i banged the top of my arm on a brass door handle, banged is the wrong word really i mean i really smashed into it, the next day i had the blackest bruise i've ever seen, although the bruising is now slowly going there's a lump in the middle of the bruise, it's about 3/4 of an inch long, is this normal when you have serverly bruised yourself or does anyone think i should see my GP and get it checked out?
Thanks

Nothing obvious comes to mind.....go to your GP and he will "have a feel."
I have had the lump inside a bruise, only after a severe bruise though! I think it is normal when you've badly bruised yourself, I had it after being hit by a vehicle, a friend of mine had it after falling down the stairs!

It will go away in time, I don't think it's worth seeing your GP over but you could do if this hasn't set your mind at rest
