What can I further do to make my raspbery jam set firmer. It was made originally with sugar with added pectin, it did not set. It was then re-heated with Ceto added, but still not set sufficiently. What can I do next please ??

I often make raspberry jam and it can take quite a while for it to reach settting point, sometimes over an hour! I never use pectin. I don't know if you can heat it again now it's been heated twice but the only way for it to get to setting point is for it to reach a certain temperature and as I say it can take a while.

Knows F.All, I tried that all ready but when my Dad lit a cigarette after having a jam sandwich, he blew his teeth out. Any more bright ideas

Coccinelle, thanx for your comment. I have nothing to loose so will give it a further "boiling" and leave it boiling longer. Someone local said add some pices of apple so willl try that also.
I have some more raspberries to make up but will not use pectin of any sort ( like my mother did 60 years ago when it was never heard of, and her jam always set!!)
add enuf water to 'only just' cover the fruit & keep stirring so it
