Can anybody please tell me why are my teeth so sensitive. and I have spent 1,000s of pounds on them. I now (I think) have a whole in one of my back teeth but the pain is so bad I dont which one. This is Sat but when I go on Mon they will make me wait nearly 4 hours which I could not do this time to get an emergency appointment.

I really am at the end of my tether that I feel I should get all of them out and dentures put in but I know they come with their sorrows too. I am so low today. They also bleed profusely from time to time. I feel dentists dont care they just want the money.

It sounds as if you have an abcess especially if you have bleeding gums which could mean gum disease. Abcesses are very painful so I sympathize with you. I ended up seeing a paradontist to get my teeth sorted and to hang onto them. Good luck!

thanks coccinelle what is the difference between paradontist and dentist - I do hope it is not a hygienist cos I went to one and I never forget the pain she put me through. By the way my teeth bleed every single day - sorry I said "whole" which should have been hole. I do think it is a cavity.
I suffered excruciating toothache on and off for years which couldn't be pinpointed to a single tooth. It was absolute miserable agony. I was ready to have teeth pulled to stop it.

It turned out to be neuralgia, and when prescribed the correct treatment it was a miracle. It literally switched the pain off.

Could this be the situation with you?

i have looked up paridontist and dentist to get the difference - paradontist looks after the gums but will he/she ie paradontist and dentist be together in this or will rank or money pull. Will I have to change completely to a paradontist - God I am in that pain I dont know what I am talking about

Hi Ethel would love it to be neuralgia as I have been suffering for years too. Maybe will make an appointment to see my doctor for pain relief for neuralgia.

Having said that I do know there is a whopping big hole in the bottom back tooth. but i have three there and because of the pain dont which one it is

Ethel I also mentioned to say (whether there is any connection but I have been very headachy all week. Usually 2 tablets takes this headache away but now I am thinking it is connected to the teeth. Just reading on google about paradontist and dentist and one young girl said once you get false teeth your face changes immediately - I do know that cos my mother and few friends have them and they were never the same - that is why I suffer just to have my own face. Sob sob
See your dentist and your doctor.

Once your dentist has taken an X-ray he'll know what's wrong. Once I was in contact with the paradontist I stopped with my dentist, in fact my dentist transferred me to him. A dentist looks after everything you can see in way of teeth whereas a paradontist looks after what's hidden below. By the way, have your teeth moved lately, like having a gap between two teeth when one wasn't there before? That's a sign you need to see a paradontist as there's something going on underneath.
