I saw this film where a girl has a dress that changes colour. It went from pink (or something similar... can't remember but isn't relevant) to blue. I believe it's fiber-optics but not entirely sure how it works. Please explain. ^_^

If you want to see the film... just don't. It was pretty damn dreadful. It was a cheap film with bad acting aimed at teenage girls obsessed with dolls. It was that 'Bratz' Movie one.

I thought that at first. But my friend told me she's seen dresses that do that before.
Is this info any use to you?
There used to be clothes that changed colour with body heat in the eighties. However, they soon fell out of fashion when it was realised that people were walking around with different colours under their armpits where they were sweating.

Hmmm... this is all interesting stuff dudes. Thanks! ^_^
Doesn't seem to be like what was in the film though. In which case it probably was bad CGI. Oh well, I do advise you to never watch that film even though I doubt any of you will be interested in doing in the first place. Haha...
Though the two worst films I have ever seen are:
1) Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde - Painful to watch... painful...

and 2) Hercules In New York - One of those films that are sooo damn bad, they're entertaining. This is a film you should watch because I think it's Arnold Schwarzenegger's first film and he can barely speak English. Plus the fight scene with the bear is a classic.

Once again, thanks for the help. *thumbs up*
I remember i bought my son, about 16 yrs ago a t shirt that changed color they were all the rage for a wee while
Global Hypercolor (as the UK knew it)

With blue and pink it could be a litmus type pH sensitive dye. Wash it in alkaline washing powder and it will go blue. Slighly acidic water turns it pink.

Similar to hydrangias. The flowers are blue in alkaline soil while pink in acidic. Adding lime to the soil turms the flowers blue.
