I asked my doctor but the answer she gave was vague and so i'll ask here

I want to delay my period as I'm on the pill....well I'm currenty not but I'm going to start taking it soon, the thing is if I take it say in 2 weeks...even though my period was last week (which means I'll have been off for 3 weeks and usually due the week after) does it mean that I can go another 3 weeks without being on? so in effect I'd b e delaying my period.

Just wanted to know that if the first time you take it, can I interrupt my cycle and change it by taking the ppill halfway through it?

The usual advice is to start a course of the contraceptive pill on the first day of your period.i'm sure you know that though:-)
Different women react differently to the pill so it is not really an easy question to answer.I have been on the pill in the past and have rarely paid attention to when a course should start,I have nearly always just started taking them on the day I was prescribed them,I have managed to delay my period that way for a lot of the time but there have also been times when I have had bleeding halfway through a pack. The only way to find out what will happen is to just start the pack.Sorry I couldn't be more help.
