As you may know i broke my upper arm about 10 weeks ago - now I am suffering searing pain in it - it was so bad last week i went back to hospital who x-rayed it and said it was fine - can anybody tell me what these pains are - is it getting better - they are insufferable. i have not got physio as there is a backlog but will be getting it in about 3 weeks time. any consolation out there

All I can do is say go back to the hospital's A and E dept and refuse to leave until you see an orthopaedic specialist!! I had a similar thing happen when I broke my elbow. I made such a fuss and refused to leave and was in tears with the pain They actually did send for the surgeon because I was such a nuisance! It was a simple solution in my case they had put my arm in an unsuitable sling position and the specialist just put the sling on correctly.

You shouldn't be suffering like this.

I wish you well.
