please help. over the last few years i have developed a rash on my feet when on beach holidays. it only seems to happen after i have been on a beach, it starts around my toes, and works up my feet. it consists of small raised red spots which are insanely, itchy. alhtough anti histamines help the itching, nothing seems to halt the progress of the rash unless i keep off beach/ seaside settings, then it seems to disappear after about a week. i have developed it after being on beaches in europe and america. it doesnt seem to be related to heat as have been to lots of hot places without problems. thing is it has been getting worse each time i get it, and i go to australia for a month next month. any idea what it could be or how to stop it??

Hi. I just noticed your post. You may have an allergy to either sand or they may be sand fly bites of which your immune system goes overboard on when bitten.

I suffer terribly. I recall going to the South of France and being in absolute agony, the size of my feet swelled from a 5 to a 9 with rash and water blisters from sand flies.

Someone once advised me to use Avon Skin So Soft oil in the bath each day and BINGO - it worked.

Good Luck.
