had a mammogram recently?

I went the other day and I'd been told it was really painful, but to be honest, it was uncomfortable having your boobies squished - but not painful.

Has anyone else found it painful?.......I'm now thinking maybe I have a higher pain threshold than I thought I had.

Most of the women on our staff had had one and when \i had to go for one they put me off by saying how uncomfortable it was. I've had 2 now and found the first no problem and the second uncomfortable. Probably depends on the operator maybe. Wouldn't put me off having another.
Hiya - yes I find it really painfull but would never put off going. My sister-in-law, who didn't have any outward symptoms, went and was found to have a small dot in her boob, they called her back. She's had a mastectomy and is now going through chemo. She was told if she hadn't gone she wouldn't have survived.
Yes I have to agree with you chicklin I found it uncomfortable but not painful at all but would not hesitate even if it was.
I was told it was like getting your t*ts caught in a mangle! I have had a couple now and apart from rather a tight sensation it wasn't painful - more undignified really but if it shows up early problems as masma mentioned what is a bit of discomfort?

Thanks for all your answers - seems like we're all in agreement - no matter even if it was painful we all know its the only sensible thing to do.
had two mammograms - never found them uncomfortable but God I cannot manage the smear tests - find them very very painful - anybody out there like me - it does and has put me off having them - so sore.
