Gout

Anyone out there had gout? I was walking downstairs and suddenly got a pain on the top of my foot. It throbs at night and my foot feels stiff, everyone says its Gout, can a femle get it, im only in my 40s!!!

It normally affect the big toe and if you drink lots of red wine or port then it may be the case. My father in law used to get it all the time and, being a boke, it was a milliion times more painful than childbirth!

Gout is a form of arthritis caused by too much uric acid in your system.

It mainly affects the big toe but can occur elsewhere.

no probs
i take one allopurinal aday
no alco though
