I'm not medically qualified, but I'd say you are not going mad (probably!). However, being nervous about this is probably causing tension and actually making things worse. Have a word with your doctor.

I sat next to the Duchess at tea,
As distressed as a person could be.
Her rumblings abdominal
Were truly phenomenal,
And everyone thought it was me.
not mad, just hungry!!
If you're going mad then so am I. Mine often rumbles away from the comfort of my lounge. In fact I was seeing this girl recently and it rumbled tremendously when I was with her - especially once in the cinema, and then again in the theatre - highly embarrassing.

|Thanks dave this is just the sort of situation I am starting to avoid Eating does not seem to help
I have had exactly this (increasing) problem for months past - but in my case I'm quite sure what the cause is - Stress. Regular mealtimes and plenty of water should help, but not much in my case, and sometimes the problem is so extreme that I dislike sitting in a quiet room or office with other people around because it's so very obvious. All I can suggest is that you try to eat regular meals, rest properly and de-stress. All the best from a fellow-sufferer.
