can anyone reccomend any good exercises for abs and thighs ???

Ab's are a difficult area, you need to lose the access fat around it before you can tone up.
Pilates would be a great was to tone and define the abs.
I found slendertone pads worked for me... Gotta stick at it though and eat healthy.
Lunges and squats are good for thigh muscles, and I find yoga and swimming front crawl to be good for Abs.

Generally, I find Body Pump classes excellent for all over toning - you notice immediate effects.
