my partner has a nasty cough he seems to cough most after meals and when he coughs hes brings up lots of flem and its like being sick but its flem?? please can anyone advise what this is as we are geting married next week and he wants to treat it ???

no he doesnt smoke never has

Tell him to see his GP, it could be that he has or recently had a chest infection and his body is cearing out all the "gunge" left over, however, he really should go to his GP

whooping cough? we're both recovering from it (5th week) and apparently it goes undiagnosed far more than we realise, especially in adults. it involves lots of phlegm.

should have said, adults rarely get the 'whoop', just the coughing spasms.

Sounds like he has got bronchitis. It can take several weeks to shift it ..... get him to see his GP

thanks for all the replies he been to docs and she said its a chest infection and he has some antibiotixs thanks everyone
