New Government advice advises pregnant women and those who are trying for a baby to avoid alcohol completely. Previously it was suggested one or two units a week would not harm a baby or the chance of conceiving. It comes after some research and theories that say alcohol should be totally avoided during pregnancy. What do you think? Will you carry on with the odd glass of wine when pregnant or do you agree that women should steer clear of all alcohol consumption during those nine months?

wouldnt bother me, I'm sure I could go without some alcohol for sake of my baby whether its proved or not
After the first 4 months I would occasionally (once a month or longer) treat myself to a single shot of Baileys, which I would sip over about 30 mins and really enjoy!
I had a healthy baby girl so I would do the same if I ever had another baby.
I would never drink whilst pregnant and didn't with both of mine. I know of women who have had healthy babies after smoking and drinking with their pregnancies but then I know some who have miscarried or have had babies born with problems because of this.

When I have a baby I want to know that I have done everything in my power to stop any problems in their development.
I didn't consume any alcohol whist pregnant with either of my children and I didn't miss it. I felt very protective over my "bump" and didn't want to do anything that I thought could cause any harm. I don't understand women who can drink alcohol and smoke all the way through their pregnancy.x
i never drank whilst pregnant untill the last month ,i had some guinness as i was low in iron my baby was born healthy and likes a drop of the black stuff herself shes as strong as an ox , and a lot older now by the way
