Hi,
Sounds like worms - a very common thing.

If you wipe yourself, look at the paper, you may see small white wriggly things- worms. Easily cured by a visit to the chemist.
Did the Doc actually look at your bum?!?
Possibly piles/hemeroids? I get it sometimes and it can be uncomfortable and itchy. You can get it at any age, I am late 20's. It tends to sort itself out after a while for me but you can get all sorts of creams and treatments for it.
does it stop itching after a good scratch x
snowrose - How long have you had the itching? There is a condition connected to people with thyroid. I need to get ready for work, but I will come back later today. Have a look if you can, are there any white patches to the itchy area?
