My husband aged 34 has the beginnings of Multiple Sclerosis. Have any of you ABers had any dealings with this condition and maybe some positive stories or advice? He has joined a MS website and forum and we have gained lots of info but you can never get too much!!

Hello lechat.
i have a friend who is 20 and has this. She has had a couple of relapse and was prescribed bena interferon to help control the relapse. They seem to help during it. They were injected into the muscle or into the skin. There is some evidence to suggest the following Complementary therapies may help Reflexology, Fish oils, Magnetic field therapy, Neural therapy & massage and body work.
I found a good link for you to have a look at although this may be one you have already seen.

You may get a greater response in Body and Soul I'm sure there is another user on here with it but I cant remember who...sorry if I do though I'll post it up
My neigbour is 75 and has had ms since she was 40. Shes still very able, has carers 2 hrs a day, a gardener and a cleaner, and says shes still as positive and as active as she was 30 years ago. She has her dull days and i swear she smokes something she shouldnt, but denies it!!!
Its a tough illness but I`m sure with your support and pma you will both be fine, look after yourself too and have fun xxx
Ive got a mate with this and he has been using what I think is called "interferon b".Not sure if this is the correct name so applologies up front if not.He has recently been prescribed cannabis on the nhs and says this has helped quite alot.

If you are in Swindon, there is the best m.s nurse ever there!!!

Your hubby has probably had M.S for quite a while. I had the symptoms for 10 years before it finally got me properly lol.... I now just live my life :-) I do not want any interferons as the side effects are yuk and it doesn't stop the disability or the disease and nor are there any long term studies fot those drugs. They have been around for 15 yrs. The newest 1, currently in stage iii testing is FTY720, and it's a tablet. not an injection hoorah!!! read here....

Take your time studying all avenues........
