What might spots on my shoulders indicate?

I have never suffered from spots as such, i'm 26 and over the course of the last few months have had several large ones all over my shoulders, certain people have advised me that spots in certain places may mean i'm lacking something in my diet, any idea what foods I could be lacking to cause this? Thank you for your suggestions.
