I have been advised to eat 6 meals a day instead of 3. Fair enough, but what constitutes a meal? Would a couple of bits of fruit or a handful of nuts be classed as a meal? What about yoghurt? If anyone has any tips or ideas, I'd love to hear them!

my doctor advised me to follow this eating pattern some time ago so for what its worth yhis is what i eat.
breakfast---cereal/porridge or fruit or toast.
mid morning-a banana and/or small snack bar
lunch -main meal of day(if possible)
mid afternoon- 1 fruit or pot yogurt or milk shake or cupa soup
dinner- lighter meal
supper or mid evening snack--bowl of soup or a banana or other fruit or 2/3 bisciuts
this has resulted in weight loss and me feeling fitter but its important not to eat more than you would on a three meal regime.
