'Fraid not sam. :o(

I'm suffering in the same way. Last night my eyes were really throbbing and I was fighting the urge to rub them. Instead I put 3 or 4 eye drops in each but I still woke up with itchy eyes! It doesn't help matters that I walk home every night through tree-lined fields! Currently I'm taking Clarityn tablets, Beconase nose spray and Boots eye drops on a daily basis!
Without medication or eyedrops you might struggle. I'm the same, but use Benadryl which works a treat. Sunglasses are generally thought to help, and I would have a shower and change clothes after you come in from work etc to make sure it's out of your hair.

thanks guys im taking opticrom eye drops at the moment nassal spray and mediaction thanks anyway!

Yes I am exactly the same...im siting here in work and everybody seems to think ive been crying becuase my eyes are that bad. I currently take allergy tablets, nasal spray and eye drops but nothing seems to work.

I recently asked my doctor about a steriod injection that is available that lasts throughout the summer months when the pollen count is high which prevents hafever symptoms. My friends mother gets the injection every year and swears by it. My doctor said that its too risky as it has side effects such as weight gain and weaking of bones.

However people have told me that doctors try to put you off having this injection because its expensive for them to distribute.

Im thinking of seeking a second opinion from another doctor.

not found an answer yet.

Thought i'd got through it, but it's come back with a vengeance this year.

I thought you were not suppose to use the tablets, nose sprays and eye drops together.

veggi bear when you have bad hayfever you dont care what you take as long as it makes it go away lol! ;o)

I have had hayfever, but I'm careful not to get too druged up with driving (and wearing contacts)

Found this on google http://www.allerclear.co.uk/

Computer says Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
i've heard an alternative remedy, to eat honey produced in the region you live so you develop an immunity (?) to the types of pollens in your area that give you hayfever. I have no idea if this works but i've seen a lot of people recommend it and i doubt its a quick solution

use a cooling eyegel pad, straight from the fridge.

or if you are at home, soak a lump of tissue and put it on your eye and hold it on either with an eyepatch or tie it on with a dressing gown belt or something and just sit like that for a while.

i always use a vics nasal inhaler on my dry eyes. it makes them run and water and cools them too

Unfortunately mccfluff, most of us suffer from grass pollen allergies, especially at this time of year, so honey's not going to do the trick. Good idea for the flower pollen haters though. I'd be interested to see if it works.
