...... one of the PM's that came out says he's going to insist that she's not sent home again until she's ready, it's the third time he's been out to her in as many months for the same reason.
Dave's on his way home after taking a bagful of gear in for her.

Bednobs //i wouldnt want my husband giving me personal care :(//
Wh not, is there not an affinity between you both? If my wife had preferred carers to me I would have felt badly about it.

APG @ 1450, ask them, they're the ones that changed the plans
danny, well as said, we are all different.
Danny, very many of our clients, don't like to either feel like "a burden" (often unnecessarily) or don't feel so comfortable with friends and family and intimate care.
It works for some and not for others. And all family carers, who live with someone deserve a break sometimes. It's actually often helpful to have an "outsider" who is qualified, to get different observations and opinions- plus the advantage of getting straight through to medical care.
Whatever the person prefers, is best.

Just had a call from a carer support agency saying I can call them a couple of times a week and they will send someone to look after Kate for up to 2 hrs at a time while I have some 'me' time, all FOC, sounds good.

To get things straight, we work for the NHS, we have our responsibilities and hours to fulfil, we leave about 0730, Kate doesn't surface until 0930 ish. when we are home evenings and weekends she wants for nothing, it's weekdays that the carers are required.
Tashi, you shouldn't have any reason to explain yourself , I learnt that the hard way

Just trying to help the hard of understanding bobbi :o)
Family members who are careers need a break so they can take care of household chores and their mental health. Also the assigned career is better able to enforce medical needs should the patient not want to comply. Nothing wrong with Baldric having a daily break. Better for both of them.
Danny there is huge amount of love and affinity between my husband and me but I certainly wouldn't want him having to deal with my toilet requirements etc. I'm pretty sure many couples would feel the same.
^^^ what Prudie said , no sawreeee
I thought the post was what Boris said.
Mrs sqad has NEVER seen me on the toilet and when I wasxin hospital I asked for and was given male nurses to attend to toilet procedures.
Mrs sqad and myself have only passed wind (farted..I hate that word) in each others company no more than half a dozen times in 40 years.

Just saying.
You don’t have 2 medical staff as guests in your home though sqad?
Anyway if I was Kates family I would be kicking up a right stink over her care by now.
We are the same sqad and although he does pass wind in front of me with the smiling glee of a toddler I doubt I've done the same more than 10 times in 20 years and even then it's been by accident and I was mortified.

Eh?
Just how much ‘ care’ does Kate require. Has she had a deterioration in health recently ?

MM, see post @ 1553
Oh I saw the post baldric, and?
The amount of care Kate needs is between her, her doctors and Baldric. Why should anyone have to post why careers are needed. Baldric just posted that Kate would be home when a care plan was in place. Nothing wrong with that and someone who posts on GMEB was not questioned when it was mentioned that he was having a home assessment re careers for his wife. Give it a rest
