Good morning all - I have had my titanium plate holding 4 teeth for some months now but cannot get used to the bulkiness in my mouth and I don't think I ever will.

Anybody advise me if I return to dentist - I would like to consider a bridge - do know what it involves but would like anybody who has them tell me is it worth drilling your own good teeth to accommodate the bridge.

Thanks for any advice

Morning JJ

Sorry to hear that you are still struggling. There are many types of bridges, though mainly classified as either 'conventional' or 'adhesive' - I am sure that Mr Google can provide you with plenty of information.

However, you really need to discuss this with your dentist as s/he is the only one in possession of the clinical information needed in order to give you a valid opinion.

Annecdotal 'evidence' from members of AB who may have had a bridge is no basis from which to make a decision as every scenario is unique. Sorry.
This ^^ Some places in my mouth are suitable for a bridge and some are not because of the bone density and strength of the individual tooth. It varies a lot.
