I have a great pair of glasses, cost me more than £500.00, and granted they are a number of years old, but the opticians say that they can't replace the frames, (one leg has completely snapped off), as they no longer make that particular model.
Is there anywhere on the internet that I can sent them where they might be able to match up the lenses with a frame?
They are a very normal regular style of glasses, nothing unusual.

I had the same problem, but after trailing around the high street, I found an independent optician who was able and willing to resize the lenses to fit a new pair of frames. It costs a lot less than replacing them for new glasses. So my suggestion is to go elsewhere and seek out a family businesses who might be more interested in customer service than selling off...

I agree, I use an independent optician firm. The last time I broke mine, they were able to fit the existing lenses into a very similar frame - it wasn't exactly the same so they had to minimally reduce the size of the lens to make it fit. You don't have to send them away - check your local independent opticians.
