Patient had an eye operation (all successful) 4 weeks ago.

29th April spots appeared on legs and by the following morning the whole body was covered. Over the couse of the day they got bigger and were like small boils but had no puss or colour other than very red and a bit itchy.

Over the next week they got bigger and at one time seemed to getting better but in fact as they went down merged together.

In the mean time joints in the knees, elbows and wrists ached and hurt with movement and soulder finaly froze and was too painful to move. Pain killers only eased the pain a little.

Patient now in hopital having blood tests.

Any ideas anyone please?

Thanks

Hi,

I had a look at that and she has not had a tempreture or swelling elsewhere although the arm and hand of the shoulder that she can't mve is puffed up.

It was literaly the boil like blisters all over.

Would the hospital find that in the blood tests do you think?
Skins not my scene...but...bullous pemphigoid comes to mind.
Many causes and needs investigation.
Unlikely to be due to the eye operation.

Had a look at that and the blisters weren't as blistery (if that makes sence) on her and she is only 55.

I would post a picture of her if I knew how lol
Could be Shingles!

Having spent a week on holiday with Typhoid Mary (who is now in hospital) I discovered 10 spots on my leg yesterday and another two today.

Either the cat has some friends only interested in one leg or .......
Question Author
News from Typhoid Mary.

The Drs are not worried about the spots as they say they are just a sign that her body is fighting an infection. All the blood tests so far have come back negative or show nothing.

Still non the wiser on what it is yet though :(
Thanks for the feedback.

I'll post what it is if or when I find out :)

Tphoid Mary has been told she has Henoch-Scholein Purpura

We are just having a look to see what it is but first glance says an imune problem often started in the upper respitory tract.

She has had a cough for a while because she has stripped the inside of her throat from throwing because of cronic acid reflux so it could be because of that!
Thanks cassa......good news, not life threatening and may even clear up without treatment.
did she have a general anaesthetic with a tube down her throat maybe?
Question Author
Actually Jno, I don' know if she had a tube in her throat when she had the eye operation. I'll ask her but she had a gastric band and I think it has slipped. She was supposed to have had an endoscopey for that yesterday but I'm not sure she did.
