The doctor has taken me off Perindopril because I developed a very irritating cough which he though was a side effect. I had the last tablet on Monday morning. How long will it take (roughly) for the cough to go as it was bad again this morning?
Is it like a piece of string?

my GP says anything ending in pril can make you cough. It took a week for coming off it to work for me, but I suppose it will depend on what made you cough in the first place (in my case it wasn't the perindopril itself, it was a cold; the pills just prolonged it).

It certainly is.

IF your cough is due to your BP tablets, then it should settle within the week.
