Stained Teeth

I'm really proud of my teeth, they're nice and white and I take good care of them. However, I looked in the mirror a few days ago and I looked behind my front teeth and there were brown stains behind them. I'd obviously been concentrating on the visible parts of my teeth and I've let them stain on the back. How I can get rid of this, I've brushed them since concentrating on the behinds of my teeth but the stains are still there. Any ideas?

You will not be able to remove these stains yourself, you will need to go to the dentist who has more "industrial" methods! Also, you might ask her for an appointment with the hygenist who can show you how to brush properly in future.

The dentist may recommend that you use an electric toothbrush(brauns a good make).

Next time you go to the dentist ask him to give you a scale and polish.  No matter how well you brush or look after your teeth, marks behind them are impossible to shift or stop as they are from different foods, tea and coffee etc.

I would definitely make an appointment with your dentist. If he/she scales, cleans & polishes them, you can follow on from there.

I floss every day & use a Braun battery operated toothbrush & when I visit my dentist for check ups, he usually says they don't need cleaning!

Good luck MrJamie.

Sorry, that sounded a bit smug, but wasn't meant to. I meant that if you start to floss every day & invest in a battery/electric toothbrush, it may help in the future.
