If you vomit after 8 or 9 pints some of it seems to get lodged in the tubes behind the nose. This produces a burning, eye-watering sensation. What are the 'tubes' called?

Eustachian tubes is the best answer.
I have to ask:

Question Author
No. I drink nothing stronger than tea now. I was dreaming last night that I'd been drinking.
I'm sure I remember seeing someone on television who could exhale cigarette smoke from their ears, so Eustachian Tubes isn't as unlikely as it first seems.
sandy blowing smoke through your ears via the Eustachian tubes is only possible if you have a perforated ear drum..............and that was the trick.
I thought grommets also facilitated this 'trick'?
Question Author
The lengths some people will go to just to perfect a parlour trick... ;-)
Eccles.......LOL.......yes they do, but Gromit tubes have a hole in the middle, which is the same as the eardrum being perforated.
