He needs a visit to his G.P. but meanwhile here's a site which will give you some info:-

I omitted the http:// before www
Ouch. I had something similar by the sounds of it. Just an infected gonad in the end. Course of antibiotics sorted it out. I could hardly walk at its worst point and the poor thing had swollen to at least 3 times normal size. Brings a tear to my eye talking about it.

You'll also have more luck if you post this in "body and soul" rather than parenting!!

Good luck to your boyf though.  I hope it turns out to be nothing serious!

first time i ever posted a question, never realised that you have to be in the section you want it to be under....bit dim...

he was complaining last night and made an appointment today so he has been quick of the mark, just it was very sensitive, and he was in a lot of pain by the looks of it!

will give the website a shot, just his appointment is a week away and i can tell he is worried....

A week away! I would try a different doctor, and would try to get into a urologist. Appointments are difficult to get, but if he stresses that he's in a lot of discomfort, they might see him sooner.

he has just moved to the city from a new town and has to register and follow all these procedures, through my work i am with private medical so im going to see if i can get him added to it.... i had alook at some websites and they just get your mind racing...

you just hear so much in the news these days that you cant help but worry!

Sam - get him to a doctor now!

If you can't take him to accident and emergency.

When I was young I had a testicular torsion which felt just like this.

There was an operation and no damage was done but this can end up requiring removal if it's not sorted quickly.

It might not be but you don't want to take the chance

Sorry not to have seen your post earlier

Good luck Sam and Sam's boyf!!  I'm sorry to have bothered with petty "section" issues at such a stressful time!  It looks like you're getting lots of help anyway! I hope it all gets sorted soon! :-)

thanks everyone he is seeing a doctor today....

i can tell he is really worried, he is kind of proud, i think it took him to tell me, so he may have been suffering this for a wee bit longer than when first telling me.
