I have a very small patch of dry rough skin on the left side of my nostril. Ive had it about 3 weeks now and tried every cream I can think of to moisturise it and get rid of it but nothing seems to be working. It doesnt look very nice for when Im going out etc. I dont really want to hide it, I want to get rid of it. Any ideas welcome. TIA

On the inside of the nostril OR the outside.

If it is just on the inside then it is nasal vestibulitis and naseptin cream will settle it.

Its on the outside Sqad. Itr doesnt itch, just looks awful
TOH.......OK thanks.

Still try naseptin as it could be a staph infection.

TOH....yes, you should be able to.

Sqad, I went into the local chemist on my way to work. He said its only available on prescription. He looked at my problem and advised just moisturising as often as possible throughout the day (at least 12 times) for about a week and see how I get on. Tried to sell me a great big tub of moisturiser. I have loads at home and we have some hand moisturiser in a dispenser here at work so will try that, so will have to keep popping to the loo to put it on. Will get lots of funny looks.
Thanks for your advice anyway. Will keep it in mind just in case
TOH.....ridiculous attitude by the pharmaceutical industry, but thanks for the feedback.

This tip may make you feel as if you've been dunked in a bowl of cereal, but it's an excellent remedy for dry skin. Simply blend some baking soda, oatmeal, and vanilla extract in to a paste and mix it in a tub of warm water. Soak in the tub for as long as you like and say goodbye to dry skin.
