Sqad lilachen........Google...." the long thoracic nerve of Bell" and that will give you the answer to your SIL's problem, A known complication of gall bladder surgery.
Thankyou sqad.. ..I had a look but couldnt find any info on gall bladder surgery. However my sil had mentioned it before he had it operation. But after his first episode of being taken into hospital with the pain. I dare say you remember all the trouble he has had since june.? I am sure he said about it after they took the gall stone out of his bile duct. So could it have stemed from that.? Another thing.....he has been going to the gym for years now that wouldnt have made any difference would it.? Thankyou

lilac....indeed I do......but the particular nerve that i mentioned can indeed be damaged during gall bladder surgery and result in pain in the right shoulder, weakness of a muscle leading to the shoulder bone appearing odd....known as a "winged scapula".......unusual, but well reported.
