Antibiotics.

I have just finished taking a 7 day course of antibiotics on Sunday. How long
do they stay in your system. I'm still getting an upset stomach. Would
this still be the antibiotics?

"Out of the system"........if you mean all the antibiotic drug is out of the body, that would depend upon the type of antibiotic and it's half life. Whatever the antibiotic, it should not be in your system now, nearly two days on.

I don't know what you mean by an upset stomach, but if you mean diarrhoea then tha tmay be due to the intestinal imbalance brought about by the antibiotics and this may cause your symptoms.

Yes, I do mean diarrhoea [but I didn't know how to spell it, LOL] . I was on
500mg of Amoxicillin 3 times a day for chest infection.

Amoxycillin is notorious for causing diarrhoea.....give it 2 days and it should settle.
