As a starter and prescribing without an organism cultured then it is a good choice.

What about a box that expired in 2009? and please don`t tell me off :-)
LOL LOL..I wouldn't tell you off my love.

Bit out of date......nip to the chemist and ask him if he would sell you Amoxycillin.
Question Author
I don`t think they sell that over the counter here Sqad. I went to a flower show yesterday and my nose was really blocked this morning. I`m not sure if it`s hayfever (I would have thought it would have come on yesterday). I`ve taken Flixonase, Cetrezine and Sudafed so far! I`m working tonight and taking a pal with me. I seriously don`t want to be underpar but I don`t feel quite right. I`m hoping it`s not something developing. I found the penicillin in my cupboard. I think it might be time to throw it away! It must have been so long ago, I can`t remember what it was prescribed for.
It doesn't sound like sinusitis.....why not take an Ibuprofen 400mgms as well as a couple of squirts of Flixonase every 4 hours and that should cover both options......infection and/or allergy.
Question Author
Thanks sqad. I`ll probably take the ibuprofen just in case. By the time any antibiotics work, I`ll be on my way home anyway. My ears are OK. Tomorrow, we`ll be straight off the plane and straight into a bar. That`ll cure if!

Just as an update Sqad, it was a cold. When I have a cold it always starts in my throat which is why I didn`t recognise what it was. Good job I didn`t bother with antibiotics although I think it`s going into my sinuses now. When I have a cold I`m usually stuck with it for a week but I threw it off in two days. I`m sure that being in a stinking hot, humid place helped. I sweated it out (either that or it was the alcohol)!
