Why would my GP want me to change frequency of providing blood samples from what was normally six months- to three months? I find that slightly worrying.....I am taking ramipril, thyroxine and simvastatin.

well why didn't you/don't you ask her instead of fretting
I don't know but probably because your liver enzymes were slightly raised and instead of checking 6 monthly, he correctly decided to check 3 monthly as to the side effects of Simvastin.

Thyroid levels......might need checking more often.

My money goes on Simvastin.

Bottom line......I agree with bednobs.
I was on simvastatin for 12 months and found that it wasn't working as well as my previous atorvastatin and my levels were raised. As soon as I was switched back on to Atorvastatin my levels came back down again. Therefore, I would put my money on the same as Sqad
