One is (IMO) a clinical psychological obsession - the other one is just never being satisfied with what you've got.
Not much I don't think.

I think the former throws all morals out the window whereas the latter takes their partner into consideration.
Sex addiction is a myth..........sexual gratification is fact.
Don't believe a word of it jd-1984 ! Squad and I are both addicted ! :-)))
None. Sex addiction is just used as an excuse for people who like to spread it around. It is completely natural for men to have an urge to spread their seed. Not an excuse but fact. Women however indulge in this behaviour as a substitue for real love and closeness that is missing in their lives.
david..........exactly.

I agree, but isnt the disorder medically proven and one can seek treatment/counselling.
How does one "prove" a psychological disorder particularly if it´s existence is doubted?
No abnormal blood tests, X-rays, genetic abnormalities have ever been looked for or even established.
We are in an era of phobias and psychological disorders that have been invented for the financial benefit of the Psychotherapists and pandering to insecure people who plead for a label to their assumed abnormal behaviour.
