I have decided to bite the bullet and go for a bit of colour [red or mauve] on my hair. But I have looked in Boots and Superdrug, and they don't have any. None of those little sachets either.
Is this typical of me, in that I have left it too late?

Thanks tinkerbell, maybe the branches I have looked in are too small. I'll keep looking.
i love colourful hair - u name it ive had it. well apart from green. midnight blue, electric blue, shocking pink, lilac, post box red, turquoise, bright purple. superdrug used to do a range by jerome russell. im almost certain they were called be bold. to achieve the dramatic effect required hair to be pre-lightened beforehand and to which specific lightness varied according to the desired colour effect. home lightening kits can go very wrong very easily so i would suggest visiting your hairdresser for this. i used the home kits that were supposed to last for 6wks but i had to redo my colour once a week. in the end i was much cheaper and saved time by going to my hairdresser
