I had them put in about 14 year's ago, and it was 75 for a half head - plus another 35 to match my own hair the week before. This was just monofibre, although they were expertly put in. It must cost a fortune now!

i agree with redhead! i had them put in about 2 years ago and was totally ripped off. they were the racoon ones and cost 400. they were uncomfortable and fell out like crazy. i had to gather up the strands and take them back to the salon to have them re-glued, at 48 a time! overall they lasted around 3/4 months and i was totally disappointed. i now have the clip-in ones which are far easier to manage, and yes you can take them out overnight which is much more comfortable. lots of places do them now, i'm on my third set as i keep changing my hair colour. make sure you get real hair ones, as the set i have now claimed to be real hair but they're not. they get matted and are fairly rough. i'd recommed hothair.com as they are guarenteed human hair.
good luck!
Actually, that's interesting about the clip on pieces girls, because when I had my extensions in, some fell out as time went on, but they were plaited in, then glued, and overall, lasted for 7 months. I had them left at the length they were put in, which made them very long, and never had any trouble with them at all. The worst bit was when it came to having them out, as some entanglement'd happened where my own hair'd grown at the back, but they looked very natural and the strands were matched well. Might try the clip on pieces at some stage though.

I do suggest that you go and get profesional ones because others can easily turn out to be really cheap but end up in horrible condition very quickely.
If you want im sure you can get a consaltation in a hair salon, here you can talk to someone about price of different extentions and get loads of info.
