I used boots facial hair removing cream on my upper lip two weeks ago. I now have lots of little spots coming and going on my top lip (quite painful as they are getting yellow heads on). Any suggestions to help clear this problem up. Im guessing that I left the cream on too long and irratated my follicles!! Bit embarrassed to go to the docs but wonder if I need an antibiotic as this started 6 days ago and is now at its worst. No smutty tashy remarks please!!

Did the spots appear immediately? Or did they come up later, when the hair was trying grow through again. Do you need to use a mildly abrasive exfoliating scrub??? Clear the skin on debris to let the hair grow through again.
You need to wait but could you not bleach next time?

The spots started 7 days after but are a lot worse now !! xx
without seeing it, it sounds like the hair growing through is irritating your skin. You need to cleanse and exfoliate, and moisturise with something soothing.

thankyou x
if youre still having problems on monday, you could ask for some fucibet cream from the doctor. It contains a steroid (anti-inflammatory) and an antibiotic. Its pretty effective though.

my son is using this at the mo !! wonder if I dare apply a little!!! mmmmmmm !!
If it was me .... I would. But any decent health care professional would tell you not to. Do as I say, not as I do and whatnot.
you may have impetigo ilove, in which case scrubbing and will make it worse

go to the doctor on monday
Humbersloop has a point!
Hmm, no suggestions really. I'm sure it will calm down, maybe put a bit of e45 or sudocrem on it overnight.

Just wanted to say I use a great product which is a microwavable wax. It's called Surgi wax - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Surgi-Wax-Hair-Remover-Face/dp/B000W6WVSG

It's so easy to use and doesn't cause any rashes etc. Hope your upper lip calms down soon. The joys of being a hairy woman, eh?! x
