Dunno what it does, but my wife swears by it.

I got this off the Clarin's website:

Beauty Benefits :
- Promotes immediate and long-lasting radiance.
- Firms and helps minimise fine lines and wrinkles.
- Smoothes and softens skin.
- Strengthens and refines the contours of the face; skin regains firmness and suppleness.
- Make-up looks exceptionally radiant.

It's meant to be really popular but I hate it! It makes my skin feel really tight and dry and I have to slap on loads of moisturiser on top of it. I'm probably the only person in the world that doesn't like it as its raved about so much by others.

Once you have applied your moisturiser you need to leave it absorb for 5 mins then put beauty flash balm on then straight away apply your foundation dont leave any time space between applying your foundation afterwards as it has to bind to the foundation so while it is still tacky, use a pea to hazelnut size ball. i have used this and i like it more for going out though than every day, Elizabeth Ardens Good morning skin serum is better well its my preference anyway. Beauty flash balm can be used as a mask if you apply it thickly and leave it for 15 mins to soak in, and we were told sensitive skins can use it as a moisturiser though i would not advise this as it can be quite peely if not used with a foundation on top. Have a shop around in some of the bigger department stores and see what they have to offer and try some on the back of your hand of jaw line to see what the texture is like, as everyone has different skins and will prefer different textures. Hope this helps.
You can find an cheaper version in Superdrug.  It's an own brand, called Natural High I think and the balm is called Instant Radiance.  It's supposed to do the same thing and I'm pretty sure it's under a fiver.  But I found it really good and you can use it as a moisturising mask if you slap lots on.
My x used it on her face and neck for around five years it bleaches your face. When she undressed she had a white neck and head the rest of her body was her natural colour she looked like her head had been sewn on, it was like Frankenstein coming to bed, very scary. And we had to go to the Channel isles to get it because it was cheaper and she would buy poison perfume as well.

I swear by it.  Can't be without it.  It is expensive, but it really works and it hasn't bleached my skin at all.  It definitely brightens the complexion and makes make up look and last better.  I don't wear make up all the time - but I always use Clarins Beauty Flash Balm.

I have a sensitive skin and find it great.  However, a friend of mine found it irritated her skin.  So as LittleLady says go to a Clarins Counter and have a word with them, they may just give you a little sample tube if you talk to them nicely!

Aw, c'mon outaboutnowt, that's harsh.  Still, if you really thought that perhaps that's why the lady is an 'ex'.

I had forgotten about Flash Balm - I used it a lot when it first came out and it always brightened me up.  A fresher look to make-up, lightens the face.  It was the first of the skin-tighteners I think as I recall there is a slight lift of face muscles. I didn't look so  saggily gruesome after a heavy night.  There are lots of similar products now but the flash balm is immediate as you make up to go out.whereas other face enhancers might need overnight to work.  Nowadays I use Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream which is heavier and makes one look quite shiny.  Maybe I'll try Flash Balm again.  It is good to use different face products and shampoos, vary them a bit. The cheaper version sounds good.

Clarins do a good beauty flash balm for eyes as well.  I find Clarins products extremely gentle and I have a very sensitive skin.
