Does waxing hurt?

I am going to have my legs waxed on Wednesday and just wondered how much it hurt? I am a bit of a wuss when it comes to pain, had my eye-brows done a few weeks ago and my eyes wouldnt stop watering! lol Thanks xx

An epilator gets easier and less painful after time as well though. I've never tried waxing but you can take the edge of by taking paracetamol before you go, or is it ibuprofen? You can take both can't you? Lol x

Lol Ratter, that sounds like a good idea haha, reckon they'll dose me up with it? Is epilating more painful than waxing? I don't think I could inflict pain on myself like that, so may have to stick with waxing x

Serious answer - yes it hurts, seems to be more painful on 'flabby' bits, so ok up the knee, but gets more painful higher up. Take a couple of painkillers an hour before your appointment, just to take the edge off the pain. I wouldn't recommend epilating until you are ok with waxing, as that is painful too. The waxing will give your skin a lovely finish as it strips dead skin away with the hair. Don't forget to exfoliate on Tuesday. Good luck!

Thanks puzzled, I am only having the lower legs done as the hair over my knee is pretty much not existant. I'll be sure to dose up on painkillers then haha x

Lol, bobbi is that to make me feel better? haha, I'm sure it will be worth it after it's done and I forget about the pain lol. I was a wuss with my eye brows, God help me with my legs haha, just hope I don't kick the poor girl in the face :) x

eye brows are worse I think, you leave there all pink and itchy..lol
but the legs are akin to ripping a wee elastoplast off several times
