One of our idiot employees sent a text to the office phone instead of to my moble a couple of weeks ago (because apparently you can't just ring someone anymore). Since then I get a broken dialing tone when I make a call. I have tried ringing BT call minder so I can delete it on 1571 but it says that number is not recognised?? What can I do to get the normal dialing tone back?

Are you on a feature line? (check by dialling *#001#) if so it's not a message, you have a call divert setup.

We are on a feature line Chuck but I just dialled what you suggested and it says the service you requested is not available. I've only had this broken tone since he left the text message.
Try disconnecting all Office Phones for a couple of seconds at the point where BT line enters the Premises before Switchboard, just to break the sequence.

Oh god, that involves crawling under the desks and there are all sorts of spiders under there. Think I'll put up with it until Monday when they guys are here, they can do it! :o)
Ha Ha ! The Spiders win then milly143 !!! lol
