The following is an extract from the writersweekly.com website...

"The importance of Dialogue. Dialogue represents the characters' feelings, emotions and reactions to events. The words he/she uses, set the pace and timing and identify the speaker to the audience. Dialogue must move the story forward. The type of vocal interplay between characters shows their relationship."
