You are right about the Connelly writers, kernowgirl I picked up one of John Connelly's books by mistake he writes about the ghostly spirit types who inhabit our world, since then I've read one or two of his, quite good for a change. So it's Michael Connelly who is the author of the (very enjoyable) Harry Bosch books.

Atm I'm waiting for my neice to finish the Stig Larsson books so that I can read them.
askyourgran. they are great stories. I will be greatly surprised if you dont enjoy the books
The Stieg Larsson books led me to some other Scandinavian writers and I particularly like Jo Nesbo who writes about the policeman Harry Hole.
Among the classic thrillers are Neville Shute's 'No Highway', and
H. Rider Haggard's 'King Solomon's Mines'.
stephen king has a new one out on tuesday i unpacked it yesterday, i'm reading the new kathy reichs and there is something odd about it, it's nothing like her usual writing style and the print /font is huge, plus there are blank pages between chapters and each chapter's first page has a huge chapter number and only yexy on half the page, it's not a full novel as far as i am concerned and i feel cheated, she mentions the Bones TV show in it too lol
The Harry Bosch writer is Michael Connelly not John Connolly, they're brilliant books but you need to read them from the first one really to see how the character develops. The only way you'll get the first one is from Amazon
Michael Connelly's books are unputdownable - can't wait for the next one to be published.
