Has anyone read this book?  Somebody bought it for me and it's certainly not the sort of thing I would go for, and aside from reading the back cover, what can I expect?

Because I'm going away for three days tomorrow with an elderly relative and will have a fair bit of time to myself thus I  want to know that I will enjoy a book, otherwise I can go buy one I know I will enjoy and read The American Boy when I get back.
