Anyone remember Hess books for maths?

I was wandering if anyone remembers using Hess maths text books in primary school (UK). We just used to call them Hess books, I don't even know if this is the right name. They were definately brown though with I think dots on the covers. I am trying to find one for my home schooled son, but can't find one anywhere...
