How do I boot my PC from CD-rom?

My brother-in-law has a virus on his PC.  I want to boot the PC directly from the original Anti-virus CD-rom.  How do I change the PC boot configuration so that it offers me this option before booting?  I'd be very grateful for the answer to this.

Hi Rodge. You need to go into the BIOS settings. This is done by tapping the relevent key (usually small Delete key above the arrows on the right side of the Enter key'.  Sometimes it's a Function key (F2 or whatever).  Do you see a message on the bottom of your screen when you reboot?
Once in the settings, you need to find 'Boot Sequence' - and set that to First - CD Rom.

Hope this helps
