Hi,
Does anyone know what the narrative is for the majority of the book, I know part of it is the man (interior monologue) but what is the rest?
Also, he uses recurring bleak images which I am told by my lecturer is leit motiff. How could I embed that in a sentence?
TIA

I don't understand the question, sorry. When you say "How could I embed that in a sentence?" are you asking how to describe 'leit motif' in a one sentence?

Sorry, I wanted to use that word when describing the frequent use of bleak images but I'm not sure how I could do that?
Well the term is LEITMOTIF which is all one word. There's a description of it on here although you may be better going to a specialist site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leitmotif
As you are presumably studing English I'll leave you to write your own sentence.
Hope that helps

Thank you Factor30, that helps. I couldn't find anything on it so that's great.
