i'm writing a book about a lady called pearl. she's a french courtesan and she ruins many mens lives. i know that as i am the author i should be able to think of a half decent title but i've drawn a blank. anyone have any ideas? it might be quite fun if you're bored! even if it's just a prompter. think along the lines of pearls, oysters, that kind of thing.

thanks!

Nacred.

(Nacre - a crystalline substance that creates the iridescent visual effect attributed to pearls).
I can't remember beetle - but with the apostrophe I felt it drew attention to the swineishness of the punters!! (I'm not really bored!!)
Pearls of Wisdom
Question Author
yeah i like it, i wanted something that was a bit more literal. that actually referred to a pearl rather than a prostitute. nice one!
which?
Question Author
they're all pretty good, just looking into nacre further...
no - it would be pronounced knackered or naked - which is what poor Pearl would be!!!lol

Nacre the Nackered
if you want to read a book about a french courtesan I should recommend Emile Zola's `Nana'.
