Ornaments ...

I mean ... why ???

Porcelain statuettes. Little figurines. Pottery animals. Vases. Bowls. Weird glass things. Little cottages. I hate them.

Please tell me that nobody here has ornaments in their house.

Aaaahhh ... hence the name "Hau Kola" yes?

Leggy ... weren't you going to bed?
I have Beswick horses, quite a few of them, i collect them,

I also collect the 'InThe Olde World Garden' art deco pottery made by lancaster and sandland of henley, Staffs. deom about 1939 (it's the one with the crinilone lady on, if anyone has any i will pay top dollar!!) My grandmother left me a couple of pieces and i have added to it over the years.

I also have a few good Delft blue and white antiques too
I only have glass things - like candle holders etc.

No ornaments I promise!!
I hate figurines and fussy things....but I have a lot of early 20thC studio pottery.......I like the individuality and the glazes....makes them all almost 1-of-a-kind.....and cos they are old-dust suits them...lol
I don't have any ornaments at all. I prefer a minimalistic look.
i am afraid i have a lot!
I couldn't live with minimilism......anything I have has a memory attached to it.....and I have books everywhere!!
Oh and I have a 12 inch figourine of a Mayan King I bought at Chichen Itza and a 18" tall figourine of a Cuban dancer I bought in Caio Guillaume and a 12" tall bronze figourine of a West African woman i bought in Antigua and china piggiebank I bought in Antigua that has a map of the West Indies on it and the words 'Caribean Holiday Fund' on one side

Oh and a white porcelain Victorian Ice Skater about 8" high

and at the moment about 12 white and silver various Chroistams ornaments on the TV unit
and a full nativity scene with chins figures in the hearth

Bathsheba ... what possesses anyone to have that sort of thing in their house?
Hey pasta, I've lots of stuff that hold memories, but I have 'em tucked away in the cupboards.

I like to keep me living space as clutter-free as poss.
What about houseplants JJ ?

(they are dust collectors too !)

But you just gotta have 'em !
