Is anybody familiar with "First Day", a short story from the book "One More for the Road" by Ray Bradbury? If so, I need your help. I'm a little confused when Charlie, the main character says "My God... I was wrong. Not the first day of school. The last." (p.10) Does that mean that they had all planned to meet on the last day of school and he was wrong? In that case, how are they all there? I just can't seem to wrap my head around this...
