FSA approved background check - I am still studying for my master degree and will not graduate before the date I get started.

I am not a registered student and will only attend the exams in June. My graduation is in August but the job starts from July. So my background screening won't be completed till August?
I took internships for a whole year last year and failed to obtain my master degree. In the background screening form they just asked about the starting date and the expected date of graduation. So I just wrote 2006 and 2008. Now I am a bit concerned about this - will this cause any serious problem? Maybe as I am not a registered student in school now, they will know it anyway by contacting the university?
